In the tropics I spent a lot of time in conventional hammocks. I soon realized that their comfort is largely a myth. The arch shape of the hammock just didn’t match the rather complex body shape. I like challenges, and inspired by the design of paragliders using different lengths of rope, I tried to see if I could apply something similar to the hammock. I changed the lying direction, experimented with individually measured rope and lo and behold … it worked!\u00a0And it felt so good and received such a positive feed-back that I decided to commercialize this design. The hammock CLOUD135\u00a0was born.<\/p>\r\n
Our CLOUD 135 hammocks are handcrafted piece by piece in Losenstein, Upper Austria. The production is small but of high quality.
